MiniCo Insurance Agency, LLC, was recently acquired by Aran Insurance Services Group of Rockville Centre, N.Y. The transaction included the insurance and publishing operations.
Agents should experience a seamless transition in their day-to-day interactions with MiniCo. Liberty Agency Underwriters™ will continue as our underwriting partner, and our customer care, underwriting, claims and support staff remain in place to provide the world-class service you’ve come to expect from MiniCo. In addition, MiniCo will continue to operate from our Phoenix headquarters.
In the future, we anticipate a number of positive changes including coverage enhancements and new products and services to better serve the needs of self-storage business owners.

In the last issue of Key Agent, we asked for volunteers to help test MiniCo’s new agent portal currently in development in partnership with NxTech, Inc. We were excited by the large number of agents and customer service representatives who volunteered to help us test the new total interface solution for independent insurance agents.
Everyone who submitted an interest form was entered into a drawing to win a Flip Video personal camcorder. The winner of the drawing is Rustin Goodgion of Ron Patterson Insurance Agency in Richardson, Texas. Our congratulations to Rustin and our thanks to everyone who submitted an interest form.
Development of the agent portal is on schedule, and the system is expected to be operational by the third quarter. The agent portal will offer agents a number of features and benefits including:
